Ian has retired after serving 30 years with Merseyside Fire Service. The first match that he can remember going to at Prenton Park is a Friday night match in September 1979.

Tranmere were playing the yet to be beaten league leaders, Portsmouth and they went a goal up. We came back to win 4-1. He has been hooked ever since and been a season ticket holder for nearly 30 years going down to all our Wembley visits including both days of the Mercantile weekend.
